Housing

Local Characters residing on Shiawase Island may have a place of residence at either the Residential Blocks of the Upper City of Nakahama City, the Farmlands of Tenjin Town, or the Coast of Tenjin Town. If the local character has either Wealth of 4 or greater and/or Status of 3 or greater, they can afford to own either a penthouse or condo unit on the Harbourfront of the Lower City of Nakahama City.

Guests visiting Shiawase Island may stay at a hotel or Clan lodgings found on Friendship Street. If they are a visiting Crab Clan Samurai, they may stay at a hotel or rental unit found in the Residential Blocks of the Upper City of Nakahama City. If the guest (Crab Clan or otherwise) has either Wealth of 6 or greater, Glory of 6 or greater, and/or Status of 4 or greater, they can afford to stay at Natsuzora Ryokan and Spa situated in the Upper City of Nakahama City or a rental unit on the Harbourfront of the Lower City of Nakahama City.

Ronin can choose to stay either at the Farmlands of Tenjin Town, or the Coast of Tenjin Town.

Transportation

Shiawase Island has a well-developed bus network that can take any local or visitor to most parts of Shiawase Island by land, except the Jungle. This is shared with the local heimen, although samurai admittedly have priority seating if they choose to exercise their status. The island also has a ferry route that directly takes travellers between Tenjin Town and Nakahama City. Recently, the mono-rail has finished development and has a route linking travellers to Nakahama City, Namigashira Bay, and Tenjin Town. All rides are included in the taxes paid by the locals. However, all public transportation services end after Late Evening and resume again from Early Morning. Taxi service is 5 zeni per ride.

Should a visitor wish to do so, they may rent a vehicle for the leisure of travelling at their own pace. The rates below are as follows for rental.

Bike, domestic: 5 zeni per day - 1 koku for the game
Scooter: 1 bu per day - 2 koku for the game
Bike, automated or mountain: 1 bu per day - 2 koku for the game
Bike, sports or motor: 2 bu per day - 4 koku for the game
Car, compact: 1 bu per day - 2 koku for the game
Car, sports or luxury: 3 bu per day - 6 koku for the game
Yacht, personal (1-2 people, passengers only): 3 bu per day - 6 koku for the game
Yacht, medium (4-5 people, passengers only): 2 koku per day - 20 koku for the game
Yacht, large (6-8 people with rooms): 5 koku per day - 50 koku for the game
Yacht, super (10-12 people with rooms): 10 koku per day - 100 koku for the game

Locals to Shiawase Island may own either a scooter or a non-sports bike at no charge. Locals who possess a Wealth of 1 or greater may possess a compact car or a sports bike. Locals who possess a Wealth of 5 or greater may own either a sports or luxury car.

If locals wish to own more than one vehicle, they may purchase them at the rate below. Visitors may do the same, although transporting them off-world will require an additional and hefty cost that makes it unfeasible for a long-term purchase.
