[Miya Kisha]

"Huh. That makes sense," Kisha says, nodding.

She sips at her drink again.

"I'm guessing that some of the people you beat then are the sources of some of the rumors about you," the Miya adds. "I can't imagine it would be easy to be beaten by someone so young, especially for those much older and with a lot more time trying to do well at it."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

She takes her time before answering and samples her soda.

"They are true to some extent. I am reckless sometimes. It is only by luck and good fortune that one or two of my accidents were not serious. Accidents cannot be avoided entirely, mind you. It is not a stroll in the park. But!"

She raises her index. "My ancestry, my mother's position as a provincial governor even the resources of my family and... my looks draw more attention than I would like. Who hasn't danced at a club for instance? Or got tipsy in a night out. It's normal but when I do it, there are cameras sometimes."

She waves her hand. "I have learnt to not mind honestly. Not much at least."

[Miya Kisha]

"So you like clubbing?" Kisha asks.

"No, that's entirely too silly to ask," she continues. "And I can see that you'd attract a lot of attention. I mean, I'd have trouble not looking, camera or no, and--"

Her mouth snaps shut and she flushes a bit again.

"Well, you know how you look," she almost mumbles.

"I'll warn you about my camera when I can," she adds, a bit more clearly before putting her drink to her lips again.

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"You are more than welcome to look at me." She responds and smirks in the patented stupidly sexy way that Bayushi sometimes do. "Between you and me, I rather like looking at you, as well."

Another sip from her drink. "Yes, I love being out. Keeping me at home is suffocating. Whether it is clubbing or hitting the road or anything really, well... It depends on the mood. As long as I'm not stuck at home."

"How about yourself, Miya san? What are your likes, your dislikes, the rumors about you?"

[Miya Kisha]

"You like look--" Kisha shuts her mouth and shakes her head suddenly, as if clearing it. "That's...not something I hear often," she continues. "Not unless there's a lot of really nasty stuff that follows up with it. How some people think of some of what they say to other people, I just do not know. And how some of what they say could actually happen...ew."

She shudders and sips at her drink again.

"What I like? Well, I like to know about people and what they do. A lot of what I try to do, what the Comments let me do, is explore what people do to be themselves. Like, there was one Seppun I knew who did a lot of woodcarving; it was just something that spoke to him. Or, here, with people doing battle carps, or with Yasuki Honoka putting so much into the crabbiness of Crabkaku. Stuff that moves us past just being 'a Miya shisha' or 'a Bayushi courtier,' that makes each place in the Empire special.

"Someday, maybe, I can do more of that than the Comments. I hope so, anyway."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

She frowns for a moment. "People and their nasty comments. I am really sorry that you have to put up with them." Another sip from her drink. "I really mean it that I'm sorry and I really mean it that you look beautiful. All women do. Each in her own unique way. You have this contentment when you talk about your interests, for instance. Your whole face shines."

[Miya Kisha]

Kisha's face flushes at the compliment, and she smiles, though she ducks her head a bit and tucks her hair behind her ear.

"That's really sweet of you to say," she says.

And then she takes another sip of her drink.

"So, what did you think of the Pink Lotus?" she asks after a bit, returning to an earlier point in the conversation. "I got over there after I made planetfall, but not since."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

"I have yet to visit it. I have been quite busy since my arrival. Both with my official duties and simply exploring what this world has to offer."

[Miya Kisha]

"I'm working on getting back there," Kisha says, "but I feel you about being busy. I'll hope to see you there, though; I know you've got to have excellent dance moves!"

[Bayushi Senshuken]

She chuckles softly. "Passable dancing moves, I'm more inclined to say. But yes, I should make sure that I check the place before departing."

[Miya Kisha]

"So modest!" Kisha replies. "Like I said, I'll hope to see you there!

"But I think time's starting to get away from us," the Miya continues. "I don't want to, but I think I have to get going."

[Bayushi Senshuken]

She raises to her feet and offers a playfully gracious bow. "Till next time, Miya san. I enjoyed both the duel and the conversation." She raises with a smirk. "Have fun till then." And she winks.
