Poll #1: Science-Fiction?

Banner of the Stars already dwells in the Science-Fantasy space. How do you feel about delving further into the traditional Science-Fiction space for story-based reasons in regards to strange anomalies and tropes that may or may not be related to the kami, Spirit Realm, or Fantasy aspects of Legend of the Five Rings?
The first of a few polls. Ultimately, none of these are contractually binding to the future of the game, only meant to gather opinions. The GM (me) will have the final say, if and when there is a future Banner.
For context, the original plan after Banner 4 was to run a game that takes place in Kitsune Clan territory, asking what is considered divinity in a celestial entity. We got Nakahama instead!

Should be all great, as long the Kami side is not left asides. One of the most intriguing parts of Banner is how everything still runs on analog tech, and circuitry has not been developed really, replaced by Kami to be programmed.

I like visiting different genres within a setting.

I really enjoyed the sci-fi elements. I thought you did a good job of explaining what was possible in the world.
I'd love to play more Banner games or other sci-fi settings.

This is also where I am with it! The fusion of the mystical and elemental magic with physics/tech is one of the things I enjoy about Banner, so I'd hope to see that even in a more hard-SF game.

Same. Among other things, leaning too hard on the science part of science fiction leads to something that's even more "our world but with handwaving space travel," which isn't what I look for in L5R.
