The Terminally Delightful Kanna (Q&A Tamori Kanna)

I wish I had done more this game, but as I've stated elsewhere, my brain just isn't what it was. But I'm superglad I got to participate and have fun in a game run by Boogie and Hatoful! I've co-GMed with Hatoful a couple of times experiencing being on the other side was wonderful.
Also I wish to apologize to all the folks that have scenes with Kanna left hanging, awaiting replies. The soul and heart is willing to post, but the brain is weak and messed up.
Kanna might return in the future, depending on the game, but for now, she is looking for a possible future on Nakahama!

Is it too late to get a fortune reading? I am curious about your process. I"d love a reading for Haruhi.

Why Kaida, specifically?
Lots of reasons, really!
I wanted Kanna to have a pet of some sort, but realized I had to keep it limited to something that would be found on Rokugan (Crabs are so strict! Meanies!). One of the reasons also being to capture that "influencer"-vibe or rich nepo-baby, since they often have pets to show off!
For a good while I was considering a Pallas Cat, because I love their perpetually grumpy faces and round bodies. But cats are always difficult for traveling, imo, and Pallas Cats don't really like new environments.
So I considered a dog since that seemed more fitting with Kanna's personality, and someone who she could spoil and would "protect" her in return. But big dogs would be a bit too much for someone so small to handle. Then I recalled Sorato's player gave their character a Pekingese dog in Windrise, and a small lapdog seemed perfect. From there it was a short way to a pomeranian, as I think they're supercute, and pomeranians are usually well-behaved, easy to train, and small enough to fit into bags and carriers without issue.

Kaida means "little dragon" or something, and sounded like a fierce name for a piece of lint that weighs like a pound when wet.

I gotta ask! Did you do real readings with tarot for the characters? Or just went with your gut regarding themes related to them?

Kaida says it's because you hoomans can't understand his superior form of communication!

Always happy to add some rumors when I can! Spreading positive-rumors is some of my favorite things to do, as well as silly rumors.
Up next is an extended stay on Nakahama! To settle the gentry-deals and all that, and to observe the upcoming festivals. Igoro might even get some time off again too.

Sorry to hear you were struggling to post. Just know you're not alone, and we appreciate whatever time you can spare us.
What I would like to ask about is your super positive character being thrown into the double feature of Saw and the Most Dangerous Game. How did you handle the sharp tone shift? Are there any long lasting changes to Kanna, or is it just written off with, 'Oh well, sometimes you get kidnapped and people die, amiright my fellow nepobabies or am I right?"

Thank you for partnering up for some fun scenes! Kanna Can, and so can Kaida.
Sometimes our brains refuse to concentrate on what's really important in life, magical samurai RP!
I hear Kanna may be sticking around Nakahama, is she planning ahead or living in the moment there?
If you could have one beauty product produced by her family company, what would it be?
Does Igoro report back to the rest of the family on Kanna's adventures? Or does he just suffer in dutiful silence and walk the dog?

To answer some in Hinata's Q&A, Hinata's flirtatious nature felt too pretentious for Kanna! Like the kind she'd see in holo-dramas, but not in real life. Because poor girl grew up very sheltered and protected.

*bork bark mrof!*
Kaida says his favorite hoomans were Igoro (of course, he's the walker and feeder), Ochiba (best pets), and Nagisa (good vibes). But he liked everyone he met, especially those who gave him the attention he rightfully deserved and called him cute!

It is too late, I feel. I don't have any more IC posts in me, I'm afraid.

Combining your posts since they're more or less related.
Once I had settled on the Tonbo school I knew I had to put some ranks in Divination (why don't they start with it?

), and from there I put a lot of thought into different types of divinations and what Kanna would do.
Hydromancy (divining with water) was a given, and she has the "see the future"-spell, but I consider that a spell to be used when stuck on a mystery and not for fishing for PLOT, so it was a possible card to play if we needed it for figuring something out, but Ichitaiyo was smart and didn't need magical aid!
I had seen the movie Tarot during Spooktober (which I cannot recommend, bad movie), and it rekindled my interest in Tarot, which I have had an interest in for... my gosh, 25 years or something. I have two decks myself, but hadn't used them in ages now. I tried to find out if there was anything like Tarot in east Asia, but couldn't find anything that really fit. But I wanted cartomancy of some type, and eventually other players (like Hitomi's player and Sorato's player) encouraged me to just go with Tarot - at some point this ancient gaijin thing had been picked up by weird Rokugani. Over 2000 years, stuff has shuffled around enough that it wouldn't be too odd.
My method for divining for characters was to either let the player decide the cards themselves (Ochiba did, as did Boogie for some of Umiko's cards), or it would be from my OOC understanding of the character and I would pick the most suitable card in my opinion (like with Ichitaiyo, which I think had a tiny input too from GMs). Basically, my vibe was that if I roll for it, I'd either poke the player or the GMs for some guidance, but try to pick the cards myself.

Thank you. I greatly enjoy playing with you all, so it is worth pressing myself on days when it's hard. That this game was such a delight was also an extra draw to keep me going.
And that's a good question!
Kanna has a pretty short attention span, so as long as she keeps herself occupied with something she avoids thinking about it. But it is something she will remember and keep with her, and she will be more protective of Igoro too after it (since he got stabbed!). While it was happening, I could keep her focused with staying alive+helping the others+and getting free (she does have Willpower 3!), but she did break down when the danger was over before pulling herself together.
So I'd say it has made her a little bit more wary of some things, and if she gets into more dangers like it, she's gonna have some terrible flashbacks.

It's true, Magical Samurai RP is important!
Kanna will for the immediate future remain on Nakahama, to attend local festivals and settle all the new business deals. But she hopes to stay permanently. Most likely she will!
Hmmmm I'd want some kind of product that helps with acne! I'm pretty sure space Rokugan has products that do an even better job than modern ones - and the occasional breakouts is the bane of my existence.
Igoro does report back yes! He is a trusted and loved servant of the family (Igoro has more money than many samurai do! Kanna gave him a stipend of 10 koku for this trip!), and he is on paper a research assistance - but he is also the one to keep an eye on Kanna and make sure she is alright. To his sometimes dismay and sometimes relief, he mostly takes care of Kaida. He did not like having stabbing and kidnapping on the daily agenda!
