(D12, MM, Expecting) One secret society closes....

Historians might wonder at the tendency for secret societies to exist in Rokugan. But since the literal Dawn of the Empire, there had been groups meeting in secret. Plotting the overthrow of the celestial order. Plotting the subversion of the Throne. Plotting how best a gaming society could function a bit like a neighborhood watch.

That last one was rather new though. While Doctor Badass's revolution had failed nearly as much as she herself had in life, it had sparked something new. And it was that spark that a group of people were gathering to discuss. No fancy costumes, no elaborate names and tragic backstories today. Just a group of seemingly normal samurai gathering in the back room of feather your nest. Hitomi was getting the snacks ready, chairs had been prepared, and Taraka was fiddling with her portable computer. No doubt plotting.

There are purple-rice onigiri and a sweet-tart, chilled tea of bright red hibiscus and oolong along with less themed snacks of the iconic Coins with a variety of fillings and fried chips of plantain and yam. Hitomi sets each one on the long workroom table that's been cleared of the lantern assembly line that had taken it over for the past few days.

The back storage room is all warehouse style shelving on one side, crammed with boxes, crates, and tools. The other side is more open with moveable clothing racks shielding a small 'office' with computer desk and a few chairs. Screens are folded against the wall, along with extra folding chairs and tables, with another small table holding a well-used sewing machine beside a narrow shelf full of notions. It's quite well-lit for a storeroom, given its other roles as studio, meeting room and space for inspecting and assessing incoming goods.

Hitomi sets the last plate out, and pours tall, clear glasses of the tea before settling into her seat. The black faux-wrap blouse and full hakama offer a sense of dark costuming, without being a costume. "Glad everyone could make it! Definitely feels like we could use some planning before diving in, and Yasuki-sama had some interesting ideas the other day."
