I don't suppose there's any way to work this collaboratively, is there? That is, go in as a production team rather than a solo vision?

RP-wise, would it be possible to ask notable NPC-s to join in on the cast?

Umiko-chan specifically, would she be willing to step in as a Celebrity Actor category?

You might have to elaborate there. Narratively, potentially, this could happen. It could also be potentially a joint project, like an anthology collection, a shared cinematic universe, or potentially some sort a show with potential spin-offs. Or if you can do mental gymnastics, parts of the same piece of work.

However, for the event, it would have to be rolled and graded solo.

A good idea! But...unfortunately, she has put her entertainment career on hold indefinitely. Participating here could mean potentially getting a show greenlit, and that would require acting in the show! She's focusing on being karo here.

On a semi-related note, there are a few celebrities and actors among us. While it might be tempting to consider filling in the lead role, know that these greenlit ideas will be done by the Silver Fin Productions, which means there's a good likelihood that your Clan won't loan you out or allow a career change. This is the character presenting the idea and surrendering the reins afterwards.

The event post is for event posting and rolling only. If you're asking if you can post in the event (Harbourfront) but have a scene where the production is on Azuma Beach in the same hour, I say yes!

It is assumed that your project will take place in real Shiawase Island locations, even feel free to temporarily claim a business location for a shoot if you have to. The execs are hoping that the project will also utilize the island features for further advertisement. However, if you must use a studio there are some found on the Harbourfront (small ones) and the outskirts of the Residential district (large ones).

If the producer wishes to be direct and demanding, they may instead make a skill roll using either Battle(Mass Combat)/Perception, Courtier(Manipulation)/Awareness, or Intimidation(Control)/Willpower at TN20. On success, the producer receives 1 Direction Point and an additional 1 Direction Point for each Called Raise.

FOr Yoritomo rank 2, would these be considered social inferiors?

When you use the Intimidation (Control) skill against a samurai with lower Status Rank than you, your Willpower is considered two Ranks higher instead

You are not presenting in this step. You're more like writing your eventual speech or preparing an audition tape.

I did all my rolls for the Event, but I forgot to ask if GMs want to trigger my Unlucky here!

It technically is. I purposely left it open in case someone envisioned their talent doing a sports show or something reality related. But as a baseline, it is them rolling Acting/Awareness.
