[D2, ME] This isn't an ambush!

by Bayushi Senshuken
Of course this isn't an ambush. If it were, there wouldn't have been a note. But there was one!
Succumb to my drone, the mystery of the night or my charms!
Preferebly all three, but I can work with just the first one!
Challenger: Bayushi Senshuken
Place: The moonlit beach
Time: At the darkest hour (play along for the mystery, please) aka ME
I shall triumph!
And Senshu waits on her bike, not hidden, but hopefully not at a spot that she will be easily noticed. A grand entrance is important for the dashing villain senario!

Umiko would drive out to meet her challenger, not knowing what to expect exactly. Finding ample parking for her
boxy compact car, she would walk out to meet her challenger in rather one of the most ominous places in the city limits. She wore a
blue dress with ruffle trim after her visit to Yakura's casino. Thankfully, her car had some spare shoes for her to change into and a small cone lantern so that she could find her way through the black sand beach.
...Why did I choose to meet out here?!
"Hello?!" She called out to no one in particular. "This is Yasuki Umiko!"

Senshuken turns the lights of her bike on after making sure that they won't blind the Yasuki.
"Oh hello, Yasuki sama!" She waves from a distance and then offers a bow. "Bayushi Senshuken. There is this growing inside joke with the drone duelists that has me act as the villain of old tv series." She explains. "Soooo!" She acts as if covering her body with a cape. "I am here to kidnap you and make you duel me! Muhahaha!"
She bows again. "Or we can just duel with no acting involved. Up to you really. I'm just happy that you accepted my challenge. I understand that your schedule is busy."

"Hello!" She would call from afar with a quick bow before making her way over to where she was situated, drone in her arms. The drone felt bulky in her arms, especially when she wasn't used to carrying one.
"Yes, I recall your engine part gift to us a few days ago. Thank you very much for your token of appreciation, Bayushi-san. Yasuki Umiko, karo to the governor and sister to Yasuki Ayame," she said with a bow. While she was nearly just as important as her sister, Umiko supposed she wasn't the ruling figurehead spotlighted on the island.
She chuckled at the act, "You mean something like out of the Mecha Ranger serials? I could do my best, if that is the custom."
Lying down her drone on the ground to free her hands, she closed her eyes and tried to get herself into a sort of mindset for the occasion.
"Hyyaah!" She opened her eyes and spoke at a higher pitch than her usual voice. With a sweeping gesture of her surroundings, she brought her arms together in a cross before lowering to her arms to point at Senshuken. "The storm arrives! Be swept away in my wake, the oceans will cleanse all and the truth shall be revealed! Evil be vanquished! I am the Water Ranger! You've met your match, prepare to fiiight!"

"Huh!" She chuckles. "I really thank you for being here and for this whole thing. Remember that I'm evil yet dashing. The most dashing!"
She places her drone to the ground with the banner attached already.
"I have been waiting for you, princess of water! You will make a fine story. Short, tragic and entirely about me. For I ruin dreams professionally!"
The drone takes off.

"With the element of the water kami, my story shall be a triumphant one, evil doer! Uhm...dashing evil doer!" She cried back before doing another set of hand motions and putting her hands forward as if she was making a push. "Power of the typhoon, activate! Hydro cannon chaaarge!"
With that big of Mecha Ranger dramatics out of the way, Umiko scurried off to get her own drone in the air. It was a shaky start for her at first, especially when she found herself remembering the mishap that happened in the variety show some years ago. However, nobody was
almost hurt this time around. Well, unless egos were considered.
She seemed to have done pretty well on her first try!

"You're ruining my evil monologue by winning. Nice job!" She chuckles and if their eyes meet she will wink.
"Well..." Dashing villain voice and posture again. "Let's make this quick. I hate seeing beautiful people suffer. Myself included!"

This did not look for the heroine! It seemed that while Umiko got a bit of beginner luck on the first few tries, she couldn't quite get the momentum to continue and found herself falling short to superior skill!
"I can't...maintain power! Hydro systems are failing!" She cried out as it seemed Senshuken was running circles around her on this round!

"When I wished for sparks between us, I didn't think that it would be from circuits." She tries to immitate an evil laughter as she attempts on last attack. All or nothing!
"I'd offer mercy, but this subroutine was self deleted the moment I bought this drone. Banzai!"

"Sparks with you? Never!" She called back and, with some frantic button mashing, she tried to channel her spirit into the drone for the final push. Well, perhaps that was where the lines blurred a little. "All systems go! Auxiliary busters go! Channel power to offence! Gooo!"
Despite her best intentions, she would fall short it seemed and Senshuken-villian would prevail over the Mecha Ranger heroine!

"Kaboom! The sweet whir of defeat. Almost as lovely as your voice when you beg for a rematch, Water Ranger!"
She offers a playfully gracious bow. "Bayushi's 2nd law of momentum. Every heart that resists me simply accelerates its own downfall!"
"Off character?" She asks, but doesn't wait for a response. "Kami, Yasuki sama!" She lands the drone and approaches. "What a match!"

When her banner was cut, Umiko could only let out a gasp and quickly moved so that she could catch it. Not that there was some by-law that could consider dropping things on the beach as littering, but getting ashen sand on everything was going to make it a bit difficult to store the drone for future use!
After she would catch the banner and fold it up, she would ground her drone and give a bow to show just concession to her opponent.
"Thank you for the match, Bayushi-san," she let out a laugh while being a light on breath. There was all that shouting and running to catch the banner that made the match a little more exciting than she expected. "It was a very close match! It was quite thrilling. I suppose, it also gave me a chance to yell a few lines from Mecha Ranger, which is a small and unexpected bonus."

''I am in no way the skilled actress you are, but I aim to please.'' She bows theatrically and laughs. ''Next time we could Ninja Battles, Alien Invasion or a doomed enemies to lovers scenario even!'' The Scorpion seems really excited at the prospect. ''Two women, enemies since birth, burdened with a terribly family feud. They meet off world and fall for each other, but upon returning to their homeworld their dreams must put aside. They must fight to the death!'' She chuckles. ''Aaaand I kinda got carried away.''

"That might be a role too far that I'm familiar with there, Bayushi-san," she laughed delicately at the idea. "I think I'll have to dig into my personal catalogue or do some shopping for some of their old tapes to brush up on the source material on a few of those, unless those just came from her imagination. Mecha Rangers was probably a bit easier, drawing from my childhood. I've never thought about my Battle Carp being a potential extension drama, actually. Yasuki Taraka-san was really missing an avenue of sale there."

''Oh well. For Yasuki Takara san it's business. For you it's probably an old passion reignited. For me it's about pure pleasure. The fun of just being there and doing that.'' She smirks. ''Should you decide that you want this kind of fun, I will be here. It's just a scenario I came up with, but since it is already screened, I would be happy if you shared those old tapes with me.''
She bows theatrically once again. ''I understand that your position doesn't allow me to suggest watching them together, but if you are open to such a prospect my response is a big yes.'' She raises her index to emphasize her next point and smirks in the silly sexy way that only a Scorpion can. ''And if it is a date, just laugh at my theatrics as a sign to step up my game. My sense of humor can get me far, but not as far as I would like in such a... scenario.''

"Oh...oh..." Umiko would murmur with a bit of realization and bemusement at that potential realization. There was a faint blush that grew slightly with the already pink blush of her makeup. Was it more than just a mere theatrical role and actually flirting here?
"Well," she hesitated at first, wondering if she was misreading with the line blurred here. "If you're talking about the Mecha Rangers, they still sell some of the old tapes over at Yuta Records. I might have to buy a machine that still plays them if you don't have one or they don't have one at your accommodations. Maybe we could just consider going shopping for them first? I could fit that in my schedule, if you're interested in watching my inspiration here."

Another stupidly sexy smirk. ''A big yes from me then. I can already see us larping together one day. It's still a dream, but one that will help me smile from the moment I lay in my bed till the sunrays wake me up.''
''Should I pick you up from somewhere? Tomorrow, the day after, another time?''

"Heh?" Umiko offered two blinks with a questioning sound of befuddlement, still not sure what she signed up for.
"Oh, uhm, LARPing?" She said questioningly at the term at first, with a slight tilt of her head and a sheepish smile. "Bayushi-san, you're quite dramatic and flattering here. And I'm not quite sure what a larping actually is, sorry...But perhaps we could meet at the record store the day after tomorrow, then? My day is pretty packed tomorrow, especially with the Silver Fin being in town, who are likely going to be loaning their crews and running around the city in search of potential filming locations for their projects."

"The day after tomorrow. It's a date then! I'll be there with explanations and details about larping among others. I promise that you will be impressed! By larping, not necessarily myself."
She offers a gracefully theatrical bow. "We shall meet again, Water Ranger. Your demise or mine, it matters not!" Her voice is changed. "It is the desire to play that matters!" She pretends to throw something down. "Smoke bomb at this point and off I go." She whispers. "With style and flair!" And a wink. "Live action roleplaying game, by the way. You will love it."

Umiko might have already the idea down without knowing earlier but still, the idea of it felt like such strange and dangerous territory, much like the villain here.
"Oh, no!" She exclaimed with much exaggeration in her acting this time around as she brought up her hands to shield herself from the proverbial smoke bomb that went off in front of her.
After dropping her hands, she would let out a small giggle and bow in return. "Thank you again for the match and the impromptu play, Bayushi-san. Have yourself a nice night."
