Nakahama

Not going to lie, this Kaida has me wanting a pom again. I think the cats would freak out, so it's not going to happen, but I miss the friendly little furballs. Thanks for bringing one and writing him so well.

iirc Kanna is Tonbo trained instead of Tamori, yes? Is that a tendency for her family in general, or was she the odd duck? I can see Tamori mad science in the spa labs, and also the change and healing of Tonbo's water focus both being handy for the family's particular line of business.

What did she think of the existing spa offerings here, and how her Usagi no Yomogi line would fit in?

Thanks for letting me know I did a decent portrayal of a young pom. One of the YouTubers I follow (Girl With The Dogs) have poms of her own, so I took a lot of inspiration from her and her little floofs.

Kanna is indeed Tonbo-trained! I just wasn't connecting to the Tamori school this time around, even if it is very cool, and decided on the Tonbo instead since they rarely get any love and are now a Dragon school. Her branch of the Tamori does have closer relations to the Tonbo (some intermarriage there between branch families of the Kuge, established way back when), as it did allow them to focus more into medical research. For Kanna, as she was an accident-prone child, it just seemed way safer to put her with the Tonbo for training than in a Tamori lab. Her other siblings are Tamori-trained though, but her father is Tonbo-trained like her!

She greatly enjoyed Natsuzora and would recommend it for anyone staying long-term! But since it catered mostly to its guests, it made the spa portion a bit out of reach, in her opinion (she did treat Ichitaiyo to a 2-week pass upon their first meeting), so she hopes that Usagi no Yomogi will be more available to the general public, as she also plans a small branch of it too in the more busy part of Nakahama for people to drop in and get a quick 30 minute massage between meetings or on their lunch break.

Usagi no Yomogi will open up outside of the city proper, to offer a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.

I felt that Kanna's presence was very much felt in any posting capacity. She was quite memorable and quite catchy! Very much a brand to her, or maybe she's just a ball of sunshine! I really like the tarot card reading, and it was quite fun how we were able to consult a finding together, especially with limited knowledge of the Arcanas! It was a fun experience! Oh, the kidnapping, thank you for being open about how your disadvantage was resolved! The Kaiu Takeo plot was in our plans, and Kanna was our immediate go-to vic-...participant!

Did Kanna have any lasting opinions on the Temple business, how about finding out later about the shootout? With her potential future home in Nakahama, she'll likely be able to do ALL the things. You did quite a lot, but were there things that kind of fell off the list due to time? With her business, BIG onsen Natsuzora might have a tiff with her!

Memorable and catchy is on brand, but she is very much a perpetually happy person most of the time. She's someone who has embraced the concept of "mindfulness" and finding joy in everything, as she believes that will help her live a happy life (and she is a bit of a derp, but nowhere near the levels of Asahina Hinata ).

And thank you for the kidnapping event! I'm glad it worked out so well too. And as with Unlucky, I didn't want to basically just have free points. So I made a note to myself to ask about it instead of trying to sneak it past ya.

The Lavoie Temple really kinda just gave her the icks and the creeps... Sorato said he shared what they learned with Umiko and it seemed like the Nakahama bosses knew about it, so she decided not to press into the issue (not being a local and all that), and she was very much working on her "polite guest" persona when they visited because she didn't want to be rude. When learning about the shoot-out, her opinion is for sure "I KNEW THEY WERE BAD PEOPLE! THEY SAID THE CELESTIAL ORDER WAS LAME AND THAT SHUGENJA ARE LAME!". ¨

Some things fell off due to time, yeah. I wish I had been able to do more divination readings for folks, since there seemed to be interest for it, and I kinda wished I had the chance to use the Visions-spell at some point too to help out (though it really wasn't needed). Also didn't manage to get into Flying Battle Carps, which I had wanted to try because it looked very neat.

And there might be some tiff with Natsuzora, though Kanna hopes to avoid that if possible! Her impression of Natsuzora was that it was very upscale and luxurious, which is good of course, but she wants to make her spa a bit more accessible for more people if that makes sense. A medi-spa also offers some things that a traditional spa doesn't and won't have a ryokan for people to stay at. So it might work out. Kanna is hopeful!
