[D4 EM Expecting]Sun on a Beach

[Yoritomo Yakura]

The first splash didn't make her immune to the chill, unfortunately. She did her best to shield herself with her hands when Yakura sent water her way. Her hands did very little to stop the water and she cowered when the water splashed once more. "Noooo!" she said before she broke out into a giggle, wading further into the water to get away from the splash, even if it meant being surrounded by more water.

Umiko hugged herself, smiling back at Yakura. "I-it's a good workout, in a way. Builds resistance or something to get stronger. We're probably going to need it tomorrow at the fish market! The water would be a little warmer later if we came later, you know. Still, I'm not complaining too hard about a side trip to the beach," she laughed.

"You will not evade meeee!" Yelled the Mantis and ran/swam after the Carp. "Oho? What is it I'm hearing? You want me to take you to the beach another time, when it is better? If you insist!" She laughed, diving under the water....and coming up spluttering. "IT'S FUCKING COLD DOWN THERE!"

[Yasuki Umiko]

"You will not evade meeee!" Yelled the Mantis and ran/swam after the Carp. "Oho? What is it I'm hearing? You want me to take you to the beach another time, when it is better? If you insist!" She laughed, diving under the water....and coming up spluttering. "IT'S FUCKING COLD DOWN THERE!"

"Oh nooo! Oh my!" Umiko placed a hand on her lips at first and as much as she tried to go otherwise, just couldn't stop herself from bursting out in laughter at Yakura's antics.

She waded in the water to her after she had a moment to recompose herself and got the belly laughs out of her system. "What possessed you even to do that?! Okay, how about we get back on land and dry ourselves off? I don't think catching a chill or a cold is going to do us any good."

[Yoritomo Yakura]

"Oh nooo! Oh my!" Umiko placed a hand on her lips at first and as much as she tried to go otherwise, just couldn't stop herself from bursting out in laughter at Yakura's antics.

She waded in the water to her after she had a moment to recompose herself and got the belly laughs out of her system. "What possessed you even to do that?! Okay, how about we get back on land and dry ourselves off? I don't think catching a chill or a cold is going to do us any good."

Yakura ran out, with chattering teeth. "It-t-t-t see-ee-med like a good idea at the time." She said as she managed to get out onto the sand. Running to her towel and coat, she put them on immediately. "Depends though...are we stuck together recuperating?" She smirked. "See? Isn't it better to laugh then to mope?" She smirked. "You have a nice laugh."

[Yasuki Umiko]

Yakura ran out, with chattering teeth. "It-t-t-t see-ee-med like a good idea at the time." She said as she managed to get out onto the sand. Running to her towel and coat, she put them on immediately. "Depends though...are we stuck together recuperating?" She smirked. "See? Isn't it better to laugh then to mope?" She smirked. "You have a nice laugh."

Seeing no further reasons to tough it out when they decided to throw in the towel, so to speak, Umiko would scurry out of the water with Yakura. She would also find refuge with a towel. Unfortunately, she had to fiddle with the zipper of her duffel bag before she could yank it out and wrap it around herself like a cloak. She shuffled the fabric against herself for quick warmth!

"It is better to laugh than mope," she chuckled softly at the 'ordeal' they shared earlier. The water probably wasn't that chilly, in retrospect, but considering they were locals, the water was chillier than normal. "That was...fun, actually. And I have you to thank for that. Thank you, Yakura-san. That was indeed refreshing, in more ways than one."

She let out a giggle again and shook her head. "Stronger than a cocktail, I think!"

Seeing no further reasons to tough it out when they decided to throw in the towel, so to speak, Umiko would scurry out of the water with Yakura. She would also find refuge with a towel. Unfortunately, she had to fiddle with the zipper of her duffel bag before she could yank it out and wrap it around herself like a cloak. She shuffled the fabric against herself for quick warmth!

"Are you sure? You haven't even tried one." She sighed in disappointment. She looked onto the poor cold carp. "A warmer time might work next time, I guess." She smiled. "I am glad to be of service Yasuki-sama. I am just glad to see you smiling. An actual one, this time. I'm..always here if you need to talk to someone, neh?" She struck a haughty expression. "For the right business incentives of course...just kidding."

[Yasuki Umiko]

"Are you sure? You haven't even tried one." She sighed in disappointment. She looked onto the poor cold carp. "A warmer time might work next time, I guess." She smiled. "I am glad to be of service Yasuki-sama. I am just glad to see you smiling. An actual one, this time. I'm..always here if you need to talk to someone, neh?" She struck a haughty expression. "For the right business incentives of course...just kidding."

Umiko smiled apologetically and dipped in a small bow. "You're right...I suppose I'm not entirely sure, but I think I absolutely owe you a drink. Or rather, having a drink with you. You've done a lot to brighten up my morning, thank you very much for that."

She found herself chuckling again, thinking of the not-really-that-freezing morning waters they had endured. "I'm not so sure if I can freely give business incentives, but I am more than happy to offer business opportunities and advice! For example, you could consider another ship here on Azuma Beach! Maybe not quite a casino ship, so that you wouldn't be competing against yourself, but perhaps a bar ship? Restaurant ship?"

Umiko smiled apologetically and dipped in a small bow. "You're right...I suppose I'm not entirely sure, but I think I absolutely owe you a drink. Or rather, having a drink with you. You've done a lot to brighten up my morning, thank you very much for that."

She found herself chuckling again, thinking of the not-really-that-freezing morning waters they had endured. "I'm not so sure if I can freely give business incentives, but I am more than happy to offer business opportunities and advice! For example, you could consider another ship here on Azuma Beach! Maybe not quite a casino ship, so that you wouldn't be competing against yourself, but perhaps a bar ship? Restaurant ship?"

"Oh, I have an idea, me thinks..." She smiled in a way that was...surely no one was concerned by a smile, right? Right?!

"Ah, that is a good idea. Expand the Yakura fleet! Azure Navy? Need to figure out what to call it. Say, speaking of business...what is up with the mountain hotel? You seemed pretty concerned about it."

"Oh, I have an idea, me thinks..." She smiled in a way that was...surely no one was concerned by a smile, right? Right?!

"Ah, that is a good idea. Expand the Yakura fleet! Azure Navy? Need to figure out what to call it. Say, speaking of business...what is up with the mountain hotel? You seemed pretty concerned about it."

It seemed that the mood was filled with good mirth once again. However, that soon ended with the mention of the hotel. Umiko gave a blank blink at Yakura and blanched slightly. "...Well, first off, it's a safety hazard. I think it's been boarded up because there's a lot of paperwork being floated around in regards of who has ownership. I think Pelican Properties managed to get their hands on it again, but hasn't been public about it."

She swallowed, finding some courage to continue. "Secondly, I get the feeling that the awful video that I saw came from there. I don't know for sure, maybe it was another hotel or abandoned building...but it looked like it was filmed in that building. Either way, abandoned buildings aren't something I would ever step foot in without a lot of security."

It seemed that the mood was filled with good mirth once again. However, that soon ended with the mention of the hotel. Umiko gave a blank blink at Yakura and blanched slightly. "Sorry to upset you." She glanced around. "Anyway, I should check out some ships. Perhaps a cruise ship, just around the island?" She smiled. "Thanks for all your help, Yasuki-sama. I know you're not obliged to do so, and I appreciate it all the more."

"Huh." Yakura said wisely, as her first word. "Well, okay." She still couldn't let the idea go, but still...she let it lie low for now. "Okay, okay, I'll leave it alone." For now. "Sorry to upset you." She glanced around. "Anyway, I should check out some ships. Perhaps a cruise ship, just around the island?" She smiled. "Thanks for all your help, Yasuki-sama. I know you're not obliged to do so, and I appreciate it all the more."

"Not at all. Not upset at all...I'm just concerned that you would dwell in a place like that...but if you're thinking about it on a business standpoint, I could get in contact with one of their agents, then maybe you could talk to them? No need to set foot in that place!" She offered a small smile at that before it faded. "But maybe tear down the place if you managed to secure a purchase..."

"Not at all. Not upset at all...I'm just concerned that you would dwell in a place like that...but if you're thinking about it on a business standpoint, I could get in contact with one of their agents, then maybe you could talk to them? She winked at Umiko.

"But anyway, you're right. Thank you for giving me a free moment here at least. Thank you, Yakura-san," she smiled sheepishly as she started to collect her things, putting on the long coat she had earlier.

Umiko let out a small sigh, finding herself looking at the beach. "Technically, today is my 'free day' since I don't have an event planned today, but I did agree to make an appearance at Fan Con. That's bound to get pretty busy too, so is it really a day off?"

"But anyway, you're right. Thank you for giving me a free moment here at least. Thank you, Yakura-san," she smiled sheepishly as she started to collect her things, putting on the long coat she had earlier.

"I know I'm right." She said with a smirk. "You're welcome Yasuki-sama. Would you care to have another free day sometime? Or not free day, at least a free evening?" She asked with a smile, and started pulling up her clothes. "I am sure you have many fans at Fan Con. It promises to be a blast."

"I'm sure it will be. I have attended my share of Fan Cons before, mostly in Aoihama. I haven't starred in anything for over a year now, so I'm sure that material isn't particularly fresh at the moment. If I get any fans, it'll still be a delight to meet some of them. "Oooh, no," Umiko chuckles at the final question with a waving hand. "Maybe on behalf of the city for commercials, but I think that lifestyle, schedule, and demand are far more than I can handle as karo now."

"Okay, let's see..." She would say as she pulled out her communicator to check her schedule...
