Getting started in PbP with Kyuden Shinomen and Maigo no Samurai Mura was pretty horror-ish. That said, I'm not a modern horror fan. A game with a lot of the Saw-esque stuff here wouldn't appeal.
I'm not sure horror works with my posting level either, since it tends to want responses to actually ...

There's not an option for 'those all sound fine'. So I'm not clicky voting and just noting it here.

Re: Poll #1: Science-Fiction?
Should be all great, as long the Kami side is not left asides. One of the most intriguing parts of Banner is how everything still runs on analog tech, and circuitry has not been developed really, replaced by Kami to be programmed.
This is also where I am with it! The fusion of the mystical ...

Re: Suzume Hitomi's Living History Lesson
Hitomi was a very nice addition, a different flavor of local! And a very nice idea for a samurai shop.
What's next for her? Dreams, ambitions, secret desires?
Thanks. :)
I didn't plan too far ahead with this one. So largely a desire to see this kind of odd shop idea succeed and become better ...

The Unicorn's movements to follow Hitomi are slow, but stop hesitating after only one or two steps... or five.

I thought our threads were great, and I'm glad to have gotten them with you!
So, why 3rd ed instead of 4th in Edge of Darkness ?
Thanks! I did enjoy those threads. Sorry the dinner fell into "ack, back to work eating what brainpower remains!" sluggishness.
So, meta reason was ...why not ...

-The Temple of Light/Lavoie/The Way/The Trinity had a slight bit of protection from scrutiny thanks to some previous rulers, most recently in thanks to Ayame and Umiko's late mother. Generally, the family are worshipers in various degrees, although in private, with Umiko donating most of her ...

Re: [Day 11, LM] Nesting Feathers
The tea is poured as she listens, handed over in a solid clay mug, the style without a handle, in a lovely celedon glaze. "Ah-ha. Well, perhaps best to start with the reason," she says calmly as she pours her own tea and raises a questioning eyebrow at Hiroto. It was a toss up as to whether any ...

"Isora's a bit of a Fortune you appease to avoid horrible things at sea...so maybe a less terrifying one, like Hamanari, or the sort that grows around a particularly beautiful or old stone or tree, honoring the spirit of it." It could be a decent beach for fishing, perhaps?

Not going to lie, this Kaida has me wanting a pom again. I think the cats would freak out, so it's not going to happen, but I miss the friendly little furballs. Thanks for bringing one and writing him so well.

OK, starting on these, but I'll likely have to finish tomorrow as it's definitely time I got some sleep!
I really enjoyed Hitomi's character and the opportunity to RP with her (once I eventually figured out how Ochiba would approach the Sparrow, two very different characters).

Thanks for creating Crabkaku and the staff full of crab facts. We didn't get a ton of time to interact (I'll get back to that shop post! But probably tomorrow since it's after midnight already.), but part of making a neat gentry on the island means getting to interact with everyone in a way, even ...

I always enjoy the well thought out feel of your characters, and this was no exception. I'm glad bon has offered a bit of closure for the speed-chasing Utaku. The business idea there is also great fun, and I'm glad some folks took advantage of the tour opportunities.

Re: The Prodigal Son - Kaiu Ryosei Q&A
Ryosei felt very Crab, very grounded. Was the prodigal/black sheep part just because of his past substance abuse issues? Or did the family disapprove of the fleshcraft career, or....something else? I've enjoyed seeing black sheep this game who weren't basically going "I was just too rebellious and ...

The reporter angle is always neat in these games for a built in reason to go ask people a million questions. Kisha was fun that way, and watching her code switch between influencer slang to Imperial--with all the education and court exposure that implies--throughout the game was neat.

Thanks for dragging Hitomi out of her shell (and occasionally me out of writing funk land)! It was very entertaining watching Ochiba chaotically pinball across Nakahama. Good to know evil Nagisa's ship is in good hands...well, chaotic evil ones, but they'll take care of the ship.

Re: Haruhi's story - ask me anything!
I enjoyed the bit of interaction we had, mostly around the silly Edge of Darkness game personas and getting a tabletop group together. It's somehow appropriate that the D12 scene kind of died due to scheduling conflicts--bane of all tabletop groups everywhere!
